1.TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
(TVET)INFUSION
This priority area focuses on strengthening the TVET System by introducing programmes that are aligned to this goal stream. The following are some programmes:
1. Infusion of WorldSkills Standards Specifications (WSSS) into the competency standards developed by the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET).
2. WSJ Clubs in TVET Training Institutions.
3. Skills Development – Industry Study Tours and On-the-Job Training Interventions.
Our target includes but not limited to TVET Training Institutions, Individuals who as aspiring TVET professionals, and businesses that depend on TVET Skills to drive their businesses.

2. SKILLS COMPETITIONS
Providing a platform and opportunity for skilled individuals to compete at WorldSkills Competitions as a reference of excellence and quality and by extension builds the profile of the individuals intended career. Additionally, it brings together organisers, sponsors, volunteers, partners, participants and supporters in one place. We use this to benchmark information, share and transfer knowledge and skills.

3. SKILLS PROMOTION
We aim to provide skills information and resource to redefine the value and improve the attractiveness of skills in Jamaica.
Career Expos/Fairs
Information is provided on existing, new and emerging career options available in TVET.

A glimpse of true craftsmanship and an opportunity to try your hand at a skill.
WSJ Alumni & Mentorship
We engage skilled professionals locally, regionally and professionally to provide guidance and share through a WSJ alumni and mentorship programmes. |
4. Advocacy
We aim to:
- To continuously influence agendas regarding skill concerns
- To forge networks through multiple platforms
- By being a part of policy development nationally concerning skills development
- By working together with educators, policy makers, industry, and other organizations to redefine the value and improve the attractiveness of skills.
- To encouraging and supporting the need, value and results of skilled work and professional training for youths in an effort to promote a prosperous and thriving economy
5. Partnership
We aim to:
- To establishing and maintain strong relationships with Public and Private Sector entities and other stakeholders to promote skills development in Jamaica relevant to labour market demands.
